if it would work with my computer, I have a Gateway with Microsoft Windows 98, also it holds the same mother board that came with it. I thank you for your help and time.

1) Insufficient information: you gave all the specs EXCEPT the size. Usually the DIMMs comes in 256 MB (rare nowadays), 512MB, or 1024 MB (1GB) for the speed you're describing.

2) As for whether it'll work with your computer, you didn't give any info about your computer.

As the other guy suggested, go to crucial.com and use their "scanner" to check your PC and you'll know what to buy.

If its already inserted into the slot, you can check in the bios.

If youre looking to buy it, or have it and have not yet inserted it, you have to check the frequency of your motherboard. If it matches, it should work. If you dont know the frequency of the motherboard, you can search your motherboard model online and find it.

you have not provided enough information to be sure, but I would assume, based on the fact that Win98 is older than the idea of measuring RAM speed, that it wouldn't work.

Go to http://www.crucial.com/ and select Scan your system. It will tell you what you need.
