i dont know about percocet but vicodin makes me nauseous. Oxycontin gives the most high and is also being sold on streets as a street drug. Morphine (hydromorphone) didnt do much for me in pills also. Getting morphine and methadone in IV for 10 days did make me addicted (i guess) because when they took me off and started giving pills of the same drugs i had withdrawls for about 5 days (horrible night sweats).

I don't know about percocet but vicodin is a well known habit-forming drug. Ask the doctor if he can go on to generic name-brand painkillers. Ask him if prescription Naproxen will work instead.

Even with mandatory evacuations, some people still chose to stay and wait out the storm (like in Hurricane Katrina). Lead paint can cause birth defects in fetuses of pregnant women. Having lead paint in one's home affects not only the homeowner but also anyone who resides in or visits the home.

hmmm, well, neither one ever did anything for me, as far as getting "high" goes.....when i get kidney stones, i have been given demerol (makes me want to fight, so they dont give me that anymore!), now they give me morphine, and lots of it, THAT doesnt even get me "high", but it DOES take my pain away! and, believe it or not, after getting the morphine the first day, they do give me vicodin, which really does take care of the pain until i pass the stone! hmmmm, weird, have to have morphine the 1st day, very powerful dose, too, but after the 1st day, something as weak as vicodin is good enough!

Tell the doctor your concerns and the history of your family, and s/he will know what to do.
