when i became a parent myself, it was when my baby was learning how to walk and he made me so nervous because he would go everywhere and i felt like i had to keep a close eye on him to make sure that he did not get hurt and it was then that i realized that when my mom screened the guys i dated she was only making sure that no one hurt me and she did a good job because all that she did for me i use to protect my own child

Your question is backwards.
The question is when did you suspect your parents could be wrong?
You are born believing your parents are always right and then you go to school and are told your parents could be wrong.
Plato believed for this reason that parents should be separated from their children to help the children learn the truth without parental bias.
To be honest we may all be wrong.
So be it.
