B) Diversion.

Many non-violent, first offender juveniles of very minor misdemeanors (good example to would be vandalism where they have been caught toilet papering someone's house) go through pre-trial diversion and they come to a plea agreement for probation (where they have to "be good" for a period of a few months to a few years and if they re-offend, probation can be revoked and they have to serve the original sentence), fines & cost and sentanced to community service (pulling weeds and picking up trash are popular ones, but not limited to that) for their misdeeds.

I would say B. Earlier this summer, 2 young men vandalized my church. My pastor spoke to the police & had the boys work at the church to pay for the damages. It worked out for a month or so, but the boys weren't living up to their end of the deal & the police had to get involved. Unfortunately, the boys had a bad home situation which didn't help them out at all.

Sometimes, with 1st time offenders, a special program may set them on the right path & leave options opened, in case of problems. Hope that helped!!

enable me provide you an occasion........... i'm an workplace that spoke back to a collision with a serious harm and ensuing in a motor vehicle hearth. the driving force of the motor vehicle hearth is pulled out of the motor vehicle by using police officer on the scene. the hearth branch is named to handle the driving force and placed out the motor vehicle hearth, this is a small hearth under the hood. All stable so a techniques suitable, nicely the hearth warring parties arrive on scene, meander as much as the motor vehicle and the sufferer slower than a snail, pull the hose from the truck. yet in the previous they placed out the hearth and handle the sufferer, a sort of brave adult males see an obvioulsy emply pistol mag sitting on the back seat. At which element the all off the firefighter walk faraway from the motor vehicle and the sufferer and state that they gained't flow close to the BURNING vehicle till an officer clears the motor vehicle for weapons. nicely we gained't sparkling the motor vehicle if there's a hearth the engine compartment. So what we do is pop the hood, convey jointly 4 or 5 hearth extiguishers from psserbyers and placed out the hearth, seek the motor vehicle and locate no weapon. Then the firefighters, understanding that it is risk-free now, decrease the battery cables and handle the sufferer. the reason that I make it easier to realize this tale is because of the fact it illustrates why being a police officer is a extra complicated pastime. cops have not got the luxery of waiting for some one else to make it risk-free for us to do our jobs. hearth warring parties have the luxery of exhibiting faraway from mattress no longer something in the event that they arrive to a determination it is to frightening for them.

As much as I hate to admit it, the answer is C - Avoidance.

Juveniles, even more than adults, must face the consequences of their actions.

I'd place them in Boot Camps operated and run by ex-USMC Drill Instructors, they WILL get their minds right, in a New York second!
