first you change to please others, then later, with growing confidence, others change to please you.

but the furthest you can grow is towards wisdom:
"be the change you want to see in the world" (Gandhi)
change yourself to please yourself, and do not expect anything from others.

Neither.

I want people to like me for who I am, not who I think they would like.
And my friends and I... our personalities go well together!
Changing is silly. :) If people aren't pleased with the real me, that's too bad and it's their loss. :P

I don't change to please others. What you see is what you get. I don't expect others to change for me either !!!
