"Overdose of acetaminophen is serious and can be fatal from liver toxicity, killing about 1% of those who seek treatment due to the delayed effects. In heavy drinkers, regular use of acetaminophen increases liver damage from alcohol.
Acetaminophen can also cause kidney failure in vulnerable patients, including alcoholics, elderly men and those with existing liver or kidney damage"

9 x 500mg (ES) = 4.5 grams, so it is not a toxic dose for an average 70KG adult (average toxic dose = 150mg/kg) who took it and had not been taking daily amounts, or re dosed.
The slow release formulations and those night time preparations with antihistamines can change the equations. Alcohol and pre-existing liver disease also change that somewhat.
Probably no symptoms on the average adult.
2 Benadryls, could make a difference, there is no exact way to know, If you know someone who did this, call your local poison center ASAP!!!

Your liver hates that. Tylenol (acetaminophen) overdose can cause liver failure and that is a bad way to die. Trust me...I died from it
