I don't think that anyone wants to be alone. Its nice to have someone to laugh with, go shopping with, revel secrets to and share affection: like hugs and kisses. As we get older, we start to re-evaluate our lives and we start to see what's important and what really matters. Do we want a spouse? Are we ready to have kids? and so on. I have never held onto a person for comfort reasons alone. I think it is important that a person set standards and then looks for that certain life partner that will compliment and complete them. While no relationship is perfect, a truly happy union will be full of love, trust, honesty, compromise and sacrifice. It's not only about you anymore, but the two of you. Never give yourself second best. Do some soul searching and ask yourself what you truly want. Like they say, when one door closes another one will soon open!

I don't hold on someone for that reason. But I have to admit, I don't want to be alone for the rest of my life.

I am really afraid of being alone for the rest of my life. I think it says something about you. Like your hard to live with or...i don't know.
But I'm trying not to live my life with this ruling me, in every aspect, not just relationships.

No i am not holding on, because i am not afraid of being alone either -- i have books, music, my family and you guys to keep me company

Always there is that possibility, but Iwould n't dream to hold onto someone for that reason...It would be unfair!

No because even if I am single, I am never truly alone. I have my friends and my family. I don't NEED a man in my life. They are just a nice luxery.

That doesn't sound good but if you make a commitment you should stick to it especially if kids are involved thats what i think !
