Last years holiday.
Swimming in the ocean off Dubai at midnight
Deep blue sky with stars so close you could touch them
Water so warm it felt as though you were being lulled to sleep in a warm bath
Music coming from a long way off
My husband telling me he could see the stars reflected in my eyes
And thats as far as I am prepared to say!

The wondrous knowledge that our Earth is but the merest fragment of reality. It is good to look up at the stars and know that there is more to the universe than the trivial things of our lives... stars are born and die, planets circle in endless rings, meteors and comets hurtle through space, and who knows, maybe someone else across that mysterious void is looking up at the stars too and wondering as I do.

I picture me and that special perosn that i lost looking up at the stars and her cuddling up beside me. and nothing matters excpet that exact moment.
