Is naguneri project in tirunelveli abandoned?

The Titanium dioxide plant proposed to be set up by TATAs seems to be going out of Naguneri area, due to the opposition parties in Tamilnadu are not agreeable for it. It is also understand that Tatas have worked out an alternate site in some other state for this project. -

Looks like the Special Economic Zone project, mooted by the DMK regime for Naguneri in Tirunelveli district in 2001, was subsequently dropped by the AIADMK on the ground that it was unfeasible.

Just wondering why this project is unfeasible! Maybe just because of political difference.
