I have had it with people who get in trouble, make an apology, and then everyone lecturing others on how everyone makes a mistakes and are entitled to second chances.
Piss on that. He may be sorry, but I don't think he is sorry because he fought dogs, I think he is sorry he got caught. But for the sake of argument lets assume he really is sorry, he really is a changed man, and all the the growing up this 28 year old man seems to think he needs to do, is in fact done. I still do not think he deserves another chance.
No one is entitled to another chance. Life isn't garanteed to be fair, and I for one damn sure will not spend a second of my time feeling as if a guy blessed with such a gifted way to make a living screwed it up. He can go on to make a good life for himself outside of football, just like everyone else here does.

Don't be one of the sheep that PR firms write their copy for. Did you think he was going to say he loved dogfighting and we should have heard the yelps those dogs made when he hung and drowned them?
If he did not get 'redeemed' over the last six years as those innocent dogs looked into his eyes for love and instead were strung up, hung and drowned, then I doubt he will be redeemed NOW just because he is busted and going to jail.
A man, notice MAN, not boy as he tried to convince us he is, with his wealth can afford to buy the services of the best PR firm in the country. Do you not realize this statement was written for him and rehearsed mightily before he made the statement? Just your falling for it testifies to the fact that his PR firm is very good at what they do.
Most of us are aware though, they he never apologized nor took responsibility for the gravity of the heinous sadistic acts he committed against so many dogs over the last 6 years. Immature suggests childish, and I don't know any children that hangs and drowns dogs. His PR firm should have searched the thesarus for a word better suited to sadistic and heinous before they settled on 'immature'. But then I guess not, because there are people out there like you who actually fell for it.
Jesus? Vick has invoked the name of God in many instances over the last 5 years of his tenure with the Falcons. God is nothing new to him, he had been professing his belief in God all those years while he killed and tortured dogs. One of his patent moves on the football field after a 'good play' he would beat his chest over his heart then throw his hand up and look at the sky, as if he had a special link with the heavens. Rightttttt....
Well, with gullible people like you out there, its a good thing that his prison time and the time he will hopefully get in regard to the charges that will soon be filed with the state of VA, he will be too old for the NFL once he has served his time.

We'll see how he looks in say three years when he can play again. His sentencing isn't until November or December, He'll be in prison the next year i'd assume, and then a year or better suspension afterward. So I honestly can't see him getting a second chance since he will be out of the game for so long or if he does he'll be pretty awful i'd think.

Vick is completely done. He's buried himself into a hole, and it's going to be very hard for him to climb back into the NFL's good books. He's lost his contract with the Falcons and Nike. Enjoy Prison, Mikey.

What was he supposed to say? Of course he said he was sorry, he knew it was going to get way worse for him if he didn't.
