Gen; Actually, it isn't pronouced either way, it's an hispanic/porta rica name, pronouced sometimes [X-Javier].

There are tons of ways to pronouce different names, it's just your personal preference and background that controls it.

Xavier is a very Catholic name (St. Francis Xavier).

Is he being raised in a devout Roman Catholic home?

Nathaniel is a very Hebrew name. Don't shorten it to Nathan. It has much more dignity as Nathaniel.

I like the pairing, even though I perceive it as very cross-cultural. Maybe that's a good thing in your family, so good luck with NX!

Don't like Xavier. Reminds me of the signature on my Cabbage Patch dolls' butt.

How about Nathaniel James?

Nathaniel David or Nathaniel Bruce? Would you call him Nathan? I like that name. Maybe you could try going with a male relatives name for a middle name.

Great great name. Really strong and masculine. I would pronounce Xavier with a Z instead of X, but either way is terrific.

I don't like Xavier because a lot of people pronounce it ex-avier, which is annoying!! It's pronounced zavier. And I prefer Nathan but it doesn't really matter because he'll probably get called Nath either way.

Hi
Nathaniel is great - how about a smaller middle name, like Zak, Max, Jye, Josh, Jack, Bryn, Zane. Will he become Nate? thats really great too.
