Sometimes if you have very little fat, your veins tend to show up more prominently on your skin. This is not anything to worry about ordinarily unless you start to have symptoms (decrease in blood pressure, dizziness). If you're concerned about the appearance of your veins, maybe try to gain a little weight? Otherwise, for health reasons, it's nothing to be worried about really.

If they usually aren't, then it could be a product of what you're eating. Women body builders in competitions eat massive amounts of sweets to make their veins so-called "pop out" and be more noticeable. But if they look really blue and are noticeable then you may have vericose veins in your family. My grandma has this and they look like they're popping out and are really blue. It runs in her part of the family. THis is genetic, and if you dont' know of anybody having these in your family, dont' worry about it. Now if you do, the veins dont' pop out until certain time periods, such as old age or after pregnancy.
This can also be a signal of a possible allergic reaction to something which would make your body react weirdly. Heroin might make the veins pop out also, but if you don't take drugs then it would have to be something else. This may be an early onset of blood poisoning, like the beginning of it, but if you dont' see black veins then don't worry. You don't have it. I would ignore it until it looks either dark red or black.
Men have this form of veins "popping out." Perhaps if you are a woman that produces more testosterone, and yes women do produce some (which is why women get acne), then you have a triat that would be somewhat like a man in that their veins pop out. If you are really concerned and think it may be an allergic reaction, I would see your family doctor. But I'm sure it's fine. Some women have what your'e having or develop vericose veins. If you saw red blood through your arm, I would be really concerned, but you don't. Good luck!

First of all, dehydration would make your veins LESS visible. Trust me, I've started more IV's than you have hair on your head!!
To answer your question, it's not a bad thing at all. If you were experiencing bulging veins in just one area of the body, accompanied with pain, that would be another issue. If the veins are simply visible, count your blessings...you won't have to have doctors "fish" for a vein when they stick you with a needle!!

Mine too. I have big bulging blue veins most of the time. It is natural. Get over it. A lot of people find it attractive.

It's not natural to have visible veins. It has not a disease but ugly to look at. If you are young, you can still recover from that. Have a regular massage to the affected areas and avoid washing when you are tired.

Doc918 is right, and too add to that.... your sodium intake can attribute to how visible veins are. ohh also your Vo2 level will effect this.

This means that your skin is very light or thin and perhaps that you are too skinny. Other than that, I can't think of a problem. But do ask a doctor (like a friend, who is a doctor, or your family doctor) to evaluate the situation better if it is too noticeable.
