I was just wondering if most people go down bra sizes when losing weight, or if they stay the same, making breasts look bigger in comparison to a now smaller body. I wear around a 36A or 34B, since they're around the same size, right now, which I'm not happy with. (I think they're too big for me). I'm only 17, but have been shedding some pounds due to a new diet and workout routine, and the medication for my thyroid has been helping as well. I'm not overweight, but I would just like to slim down a bit and get in better shape. I've been hoping that along with my weight loss, my bra size would shrink as well. I certainly don't want them to look any bigger. Smaller would be the best.

Is there anything someone can do to make their breasts smaller, other than surgery? I'm way too afraid to do something like that, and I know I'm too young, especially since it's for cosmetic reasons only. Any help is appreciated.

No, I'm not anorexic, and I don't plan on going down that road at all. I know how that turns out for people. No one told me anything derogatory, I just think mine look too big in proportion to my body. Depending on where I go and what sort of bra I buy, it's either a 36A or 34B. I haven't been able to tell much of a difference between the two in MOST bras, but not all.
I just wanted to ask to see if there was anything I could do. I don't need therapy.

most people's breasts do shrink when they lose weight because most people's breasts are mostly fat.
Unfortunately for me. No matter how much weight I lost mine stayed the same. I went from a 38 to a 36 but my cup stayed a D

34B and 36a are NOT the same size. If one fits properly the other will be a poor fit. They may both be wearable though.

Neither an A or B cup size is in the breast reduction surgery area, they are fairly small .

Losing weight may reduce your bust size. If you are 17 you should check your height and weight against a chart and see what healthy weights are .

If you want to get below a 34A I think you need some counselling , you may be anorexic.

Are you going to go anorexic so you can lose boobs? Who told you it's great not to have them? Some weirdo who really wants a boy's young body no doubt! Small boobs are the sign of the immature prepubescent female as well, like remaining child like. Question anyone who has suggested "small is better" and other derogatory remarks about normal weight female bodies. They may well have problems, so don't try to be what "they" desire. And yes, breast tissue is mostly fat, it's supposed to be! Hmmm, seems a baby or a man or another person of either sex might find that a very wonderfull place to lay their head.

They generally will get smaller with weight loss. Remember, as gross as this sounds, but they are made out of fat.
