Yes, that number is 25 one-hundreths.

Written like a fraction that is 25/100. Reduce to get 1/4.

look at it as if it was money. take away the 0 at the end and make it $0.25. to make this fraction a whole {which is 100 or $1.00} you would have to multiply by 4. so that make it 1/4 because 0.25 (1/4), 0.50 (2/4 or 1/2), 0.75 (3/4), 1.00 (4/4). just add the 0s at the end of it. but remember no matter how many 0s you add after that decimal point and 25 the number will still be the same.

the 4 comes from reducing 25/100 which is 25 divided by 25 equals 1 and 100 divided by 25 is 4 which is 1/4. this is called simplest form which means you divide the numerator (25)and the denominator (100) by the same number (25) until they cant be divided no more... pretty easy.

the answer is 250/1000 which is reduced to 25/100, reduced to 1/4.

each number has a value. the first spot after the decimal is the tenths. next is the hundredths, then thousandths and so forth. so if you have 0.1 then it's 1/10 because it's in the tenths spot. so if you have 0.12 you have 12/100 because the numbers go to the hundredths spot. Whatever spot you're going to is the number that ends up in the denominator. so in your case it goes to the thousandths so it goes over 1000.

250/1000. you take off a zero on the numerator and the denominator you get 25/100. which reduces all the way down to 1/4.

there you go

ok first you put 0.25/1 everytime you move the decimal over to the right you add a 0 to the denominator so you move it twice which will equal two 0's = 25/100 reduced to 1/4

0.250 equals 0.250/1
0.250/1=250/1000 (you multiply by 1000)
250/250=1 and 1000/250=4
then 0.250=0.250/1=250/1000=1/4
