I'm driving from alaska to minnesota and I'm bringing a snake? will this work?

what are the rules on bringing a snake into canada and then back into the US? Is this legal?

I can not help with rules about Canada, but according to Minnesota state statutes you can have a reptilian "companion animal" for your private use without need of a permit. You may want to check with the municipality in Minnesota for any additional local restrictions that may apply.
