I liked the Habs and the Leafs and the Wings and the Avs. Those are the two greatest I think. How bout u?

Tough to say.....but Avs Wings were great for a while. I guess they had the best rivalry from the last 20 years or so. The Battle of Alberta was always great to watch, as well as Habs/Leafs.
Outside the NHL, Canada and Russia games can get pretty wild, although not like in the past.
Thats the great thing about hockey, there's always a few teams who have some serious hatred toward each other. There are great rivalries in other sports, but rarely do you see pure hatred of the other team in the way you do with hockey.

Leafs and Habs have been around since just after ice was invented. LOL Still a great rivalry. Love going to their rink to cheer on the Blue and White.

Devils VS Rangers!
Even in the regular season, when they play its like game 7 of the playoffs, we hate each other so much its not even funny!
I Was Just Dying to See a devs rags series in the finals last Year!
And for Wings Fan, yea ur right the whole atlantic division hates each other so much!
i have 5 rivals in the NHL 4 of them r in the atlantic!
Leafs and Habs, Cmon, i think the Devils and leafs rivalry is bigger!
the devils and leafs get into fights in every game they play!, there was the kaberle incident, theres always janssen taking on tucker and belak, domi elbowing neids and mckenzie kicking domis a$$, stevens nailing domi, domi beating mckay! we need to see more devils leafs series!

You had it right with the Habs and Leafs, and I think that it will be like that forever. But if you want a newly formed rivalry, I would say Buffalo and Carolina. Or Calgary and Edmonton, that's a pretty big one.

But How about
Michigan Tech- Northern Michigan,

As a Hockey fan its hard to say this, but I don't think any of these Hockey Rivalries are as intense as the Michigan-Ohio State football rivalry.

Montreal Canadians v. Quebec Nordiques.....it meant as much about about the history of the province as a rivalry on the ice; it was truly a matchup where sports and politics became burred; intensity was amped up every time the clubs met

With the loopy schedules these days rivalrys are continuously changing as quickly because of the fact the gamers exchange communities. yet over NHL historic previous, Toronto and Montreal, is a contest that may not in any respect end.
