now I've noticed rats there too. What can be done to stop them from piling sand and pulling up the foundation?

I dont think that lizards can harm the foundation of a garage/house unless they are Rambo lizards. lol

Get an exterminator for a free inspection/estimate ....careful tho, they may scare you into spending a fortune. Try a 2nd (or 3rd OR 4th!!!) opinion, if so.

Steel wool and rat poison works wonders.... foundation repair is superrr expensive! Pay less now to prevent, pay WAY more later to repair!

Leapin' Lizards! Get some D-con Rat pellets.
Or stick a couple of cats there.

Lizards awesome. Rats yucky. Where do you live? Don't blame the lizards it's probably the rats fault.
