That seems a bit odd since most programs end in .exe (including your web browser). So that's not likely to be the real problem.

If you give more detailed information, like which programs you can and cannot run, and some basic information about your computer like Operation System, CPU type, graphics card, RAM, etc., you'd be able to get a better response.

What you had stated of what has happened is the result of what 4 different virus you had used. Its a violation of using 2 or more virus scanners or removal. This will able to hang up all programs and you never do any program application. Have your computer format on its OS on fresh copy. I tell you its really learning computer in a hard way. Its a system problem and you should do this immediately, try to recover only your important file save on CD's or flash disk.

Have only one anti virus like kaspersky, if you don't like this uninstall the program and try to install Norton. Its a one program at a time. Don't install them all at ones.

God Bless.

You may not necessarily have a virus at all. The file could simply be damaged from closing incorrectly or has a missing support file or something like that. Wherever you got the file from, re-install it or re-download it or whatever.

i had that problem before. heres what you do, download "ccleaner". once its downloaded click on the icon it puts on your screen, put clicks next to the little boxes on the left, then click on the "cleanup" feature on the right. it only takes a little while, that should clean out whatever is stopping your file extentions. i'm no computer expert but i know that "ccleaner" worked for me. hope this helps, good luck.

that means u do have a virus or a spyware problem. the virus might be "stealth" and is sitting in the system memory when u boot up.

most exe files tend to be viruses or your scanner picks them up as one even if they are not, but it could be your comptuer not allowing it
