√(3x + 1) = x + 1
3x + 1 = x² + 2x + 1
x² - x = 0
x (x - 1) = 0

x = 0,1

(3x+1)^0.5 =x+1
Squaring both sides we get
3x+1=x^2+2x+1
or X^2-x=0
or x(x-1) = 0

So either x=0 or x-1=0, i.e x=1.

Thus the two values of x for which f(x) becomes equal to g(x) are x=0 and x=1.
