not hardly, cause the i guess you would call it center of balance is too high in an suv.. if anything it makes handling worse cause the shocks have to work harder. and the springs will react more

While this works with pickups, that are very light on the rear end, it is unlikely to help much with an SUV where the suspension is set up for passengers in the middle. It is more likely to make the tail swing out more easily. If enough weight is added, it will make it less likely to rollover, but will drive differently and cost more to run. And, of course, it takes away from the payload, which is often just barely above a 4-5 passenger load.

It will change the center of gravity (what makes a SUV more prone to rollovers). The center of gravity will shift down and to the back of the vehicle. So, depending on where the impact occurs, the SUV might be less likely to rollover. If you are hit from the front, then I would expect that you would still rollover. If you are hit from the rear then, I would expect that you would be less likely to rollover. Still, any vehicle can rollover if it is hit with the correct angles and enough force.

No, you would need a lot of weight and it would have to be below the axle level in order to do any good, look for an SUV with stability control if you are worried about rolling over.

Adding weight like that will cause it to rollover.

no it wont really help it,all you,ll wind up doing is weighing it down, they way most of them are built, they have a high profile, unless you can change the profile of it,you cant help it none, adding weight wont help it,it may throw it off center a little, but probably wont stop a roll over, good luck with it.
