Like why do people like Elvis, Janis Joplin, The Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Jefferson Airplane???...ect...I LOVE IT...

Rock can let it all go wild, or hold it in and be very subtle.
Rock can talk about the issues today, and yesterday..or just talk about the Octopus's Garden In The Shade.
Rock can be anything....thus it is a universal language via music.
You left the Beatles, Bob Seger and any acts past 1976 off this list.

for me, it's the style/talent of the artist - Janis and Elvis (for example) have the best voices.......the Stones and Zeppelin - the guitar.......

We like the music and not what they are wearing and who are they friends with... It's real music where the band/artist doesn't repeat the same lyrics over and over again like some pop artists. It's pure music.

cause unlike rap and R&B rock musicians sing about more than sex (guy rappers) or how they think they are all that (ex. rihanna, beyonce) (girls)

to me rock is REAL music....that talks about REAL problems and expresses REAL emotions and evokes REAL emotion through the instruments and vocals.
