uh, yeah, just a few days ago i was driving on a dark road and some guy flagged me down and i was like i better go he might be some axe mruderer so i slowed down but continued moving and then i saw a bunch of glass in the street and a truck flipped over in a deep ditch and i was like oh crap!! so i stopped to help, and i called the police to help the people and the guy who flagged me down went to jail for DWI and he hit the car that was in the ditch!
very scary, but that was the last time i had to call the 911 #

Yes, 2. One was a car accident that happened in front of my house where the SUV flipped over onto its roof. Another time, I saw a bus driver alone on the bus (Not on its regular route) with just this one guy (Who was definitely on something). He was stopped at a red light & his digital message was flashing to call 911. I know that's on sometimes when the bus is off duty, etc, but the driver kept staring at me with this look, and I knew it was for real. I never found out what the conclusions were to either of those situations.

You made the right decision by calling 911. When you heard them tell you that everything was fine, I bet that was a big relief on ya. You just kind of do what your heart feels. If you feel that there's something wrong, don't hesitate. You never know, you could be saving someone else's life.

One time when i was walking home from school, someone fainted, so i called 911 but they just gave me machines, i got mad because they always seem to answer when its not an emergency. well anyways, me and a couple of people had to stop someone so they could get help and were just asking the lady if shes okay and stuff.

I have but only for medical emergencies. You can call the police on your neighbors for disturbing the peace and all of that, not necessarily because you think something is wrong. You can't even have peace and quiet in your own home! I would SO call for that reason.

Of course. In Dallas Texas it is the way you contact police (311 for city maintenance issues) Called on: shots fired, accident in street, cruising loud boombox cars, speeding cars, squadron of high school kids walking up middle of street, underage kids driving quad cycles in street, neighbors standing in front of parked cars with doors open blasting music across street, street blocked by fallen branches and wires.

You did the right thing, the second someone screams like they're in pain or need help is when you call. Doesn't matter if it turns out they didn't need cops, it was the right time to call. What if it had been serious and no one called?
Yeah, I have before.

Good for you!! I'm glad to hear that you decided to take action!! So many people think that someone else will call and then no one does. What a good thing you did!
Myself, I had to call once when my house caught on fire and another time when my husband (now ex) decided that he needed to show me his disrespect.

no, but I have considered it--for the same reasons..neighbors fighting like crazy. even throwing things. or drug addict neighbors.
I did call the non-emergency police number once because of some loud neighbors.

on one hand you're the boy who cried wolf, on the other , you could save a life, when you think it's too bad, call the police, put yourself in their shoes, and think about it, would you want someone to call police if you yelled that? I would...
