Ok I really need to find this song because I really like it and I don't know the Title or The Artist. All I could remember about it is the lyrics "I don't care what you've heard about me" and that there is a steel drum playing in the backround. Thank you for the help.

There maybe a clue in the instrument being played that you hear , a steel drum you say , then i'd be thinking Calypso/Reggae for a start . . .

Both the above answer start "I don't know what you've heard", not "I don't care". If your lyrics are accurate, those are not it.
