I am trying to learn how its done but every direction I read is like "what the hell are they trying to tell me... i dont speak euclidean." (don't know how that is spelled sorry)... any advice?

First practice with a 2x2x2 Rubik's cube.

Only thing I know how to do is get one side the same color. According to the directions you have to make a cross/T on I think 2 sides and an O on a couple sides. It might seem like it work but It never worked for me. GL

How much mathematical sophistication do you have? You can completely solve the rubik cube, using Abstract Algebra; in particular, you must study Group Theory - in this case, permutation groups.

Are you talking about the things like

Ri Di U U Li etc. ?

If so, you should read what they mean on the booklet.

Because it is a very simple looking but very complicated puzzle and there are no simple solutions.

Paint all of the squares the same color and it's much easier.
