nut cases, i talking God the father here
NOT the entity Jesus
to be male you must have the Y chromosome
which manifest itself (99.9% of time) as a penis on the body
so God is NOT a "he" as we define male

Well, the bible doesn't say that God doesn't have a penis. After all, the bible speaks of his face, eyes, mouth, hands, feet, even a behind. So, it's possible that God has a functioning penis and testicles. And either God has used it in sex, or He never did---either way seems to have mind-boggling theological implications. Why would God be endowed with a sexual organ if He never uses it?

In the Hebrew tradition, men were the source of life and the only ones capable of thinking rationally and managing affairs. Women were thought to be only receptacles for a man's seed, and they were always the property of a man--either their father or their husband.
So it was only natural that the Hebrew poets who transcribed the old myths and legends into the books we call the Old Testament would think of the God they considered their creator and judge as purely a male figure.
It was Adam who was said to have been created "in God's image," while Eve was only a companion and helpmate.
So that's why "God the Father..."

Possibly u can think of the fact that there are more creatrues than humans..... there are multiple forms of male animals that do not have Y chromosomes. And how you know the anatomy of God is beyond me. In my opinion this question was just said to arouse poeple. Please stop trying to make trouble, its very annoying...

This is a guess, but I think it's because English doesn't have a specific gender neutral pronoun (except for 'It'). Instead the male pronoun is used for both male and gender neutral purposes

this is more like a question of religion and not of the biological sciences...
as we all know about jesus christ he referred to God as his "father" .... right?! so we assumed that God is of the male gender...
well, of course, nobody had a dna sample of the God,
since Jesus Christ had him called the Father, virtually he is male...

God created Adam in his own image, them he created Eve from Adam, that is why God is referred to as he. And by the way Jesus is God. the father, the son and the holy ghost are all three one and the same.

Your name should be uninformed american rather than average american. If you check the rules of English grammar, "he" is used when the sex is either male or uncertain. Your song and dance about chromosomes and penises is just silly.
