Use a coat hanger or stiff wire

Assuming that you are rather desperate to solve this problem soon, and you don't have any of the common tools made for this kind of problem you could try the following. Find a wire hanger (the heavier the wire diameter the better) or a stiff wire and wrap the end of it around a dowel of some kind to make what looks like a coil spring on the end. You can now use this as a plumbers snake to extract the offending product from the trap. Throw it away when you are done with it.

You can run a water hose from outside into the restroom. Take and stick it into the throat of your bowl, take a old towel and wrap around and stuff it in the throat also sealing the water hose as good as you can. Have someone turn on the hose while you hold the towel in place. Pressure will build and clear your drain. I hope you don't have to deal with any floaters if so I'd use some plastic gloves. A bit nasty approach but a lot less expensive then a plumber and works when holidays has everything closed.

You can follow Rams advice if your not to squiemish or, go to the store, Ace, Home Depot, Lowes anywhere thet sells hardware and buy a "Plumbers helper" and plunge the toilet.
When I went out on these jobs it would be $75.00 that was eight years ago.
