Hi,
A ghost is a person who has died but chose not to cross over to the other side for various reasons...they also appear as the way they were injured or killed...spirits on the other hand are people who have passed over to the other side and do visit us regularly. A Ghost sometimes is disgruntled or confused...not sure why no one can see them,. Most times they do not believe they are dead. However...Spirits look as well as they did when they were living...they are never here to cause any confusion or distress...they are here to show us sometimes invisibly that they indeed are here watching over us letting us know we all have a guardian angel. Ghosts are not ever here to be evil either..they are lost...sometimes they don't cross over because they don't want to leave their home or their significant other alone..they are worried and don't know that they need to follow into the light...when lights flicker or pictures of your loved one may move or keys get misplaced...it's your ,loved ones spirit...letting you know they are still here. As far as an atheist...they probably BELIEVE IN NEITHER....a ghost, a spirit..or a spirit guide or guardian angels......we all have one or should I say..them. :)....

Love,
Eileen...who could go on and on.....

I believe in ghosts as in spirits from people who used to be alive, not The Ghost like the father the son and the ghost, or whatever that is.

I have seen my old cat, and 2 of my grandma's before. I've had things disappear, and me tear apart my house, and 1 week later find them in the most obvious place. Even when I've lived all by myself.

Ghost of Christmas past gets on my nerves, telling me how cheap I am and to save my receipts. Other than him, no such thing as ghosts.

You are assuming that ghosts and religion are intertwined. I would counter with "Ghost hunters...do you believe in God?" That doesn't make much sense either.

I am and I do.

A ghost is the spirit of a dead person. It has nothing to do with a god or religion.

Nope.
So-called ghosts have many earthly explanations.
