Really! I'd give my left nut for $168,000 a year.

Netjr --
Snow has the better medical insurance than all but a handful of Americans. And, ‘Life Insurance’ is probably the most trivial and insignificant part of his portfolio.
In any case, you point supports the argument that America’s healthcare system is pathetic. If a person making nearly $200,000/yr (not including all the benefits) has to worry about being wiped out because of medical costs, then no one is immune.

well, if you live in my neck of the woods it's pretty darn difficult. My h and I gross about 135k and live in the "ghetto" section of town. I received a very large sum of money and used it to pay 20% down on our home. Our house is 60 years old, 1000 sq ft. 3 bed 1 and 1/2 bath with linoleum floors, a back yard that needs a lot of work, we need to replace the plumbing, windows, chimney, furnace, entry deck, and roof. My H drives a 92 lexus with 250k miles on it, and I use a company car. My H has no health benefits (because we can't afford the premium) and my dd and I have marginal health insurance from my employer. We barely scrape by every week and I pray that nothing breaks, no one gets sick, and we stay employed. I worry every single day about how we are going to make it.

There is no suggestion from Tony Snow that his medical bills are an issue. What is at issue is his desire to set up his family should he not survive his cancer. He's not about to get life insurance with his illness and so by leaving he can make a ton of money and provide for his children and spouse after he's gone. It is just something a socialist liberal would never understand so don't try.

Paris Hilton. Her car is $500,000 dollars and she defaulted on the loan so what she has right now isn't enough imagine only $168,000. But Snow's perdicament is different. He only has a few years left so he has to make the most of them. I say good luck to him.

The sad thing is that they are all over paid, they should all try to live on what they expect us to live on!

Depends on where you live. If you live in CA, I doubt you could live on that amount comfortably. Besides, if you could make more, then go for it. I wish I made what he makes now, but I do not. Life for me goes on. I do not mind that he is leaving to make more money.

Kevin Federline? Get off Tony's back. He's just trying to do what's best for his family. I'd just like to see the look on your face if you really were dealt his hand.

Well if someone is used to making that amount of money they are used to spending that kind of money. People have a tendency to spend up to what they make.
