yes, they have a large investment into equipment,
and if you would go rent something like a rotor rooter it would cost you at least $50, a day, or more,

If you talking about a septic tank clean out, I just paid $75.00 for that and, I had to dig out the top cover.
For a router-rooter, about the same $75.00 unless they hit something special, it shouldn't matter how much they have invested, your not there to pay for their equipment, only for their service. I told that to one guy, he had the idea I was going to buy his equipment for him.
I am a carpenter I don't charge for all my tools, only my servces.

It sounds like your talking about a septic tank maybe? I just paid 300.00 for that..but if your talking about your sewer drain lines..hooked up to city sewage and all..250.00 is reasonable
