I'm not sure what you mean by "having ovulation." Every woman who has her period ovulates. That's just what women do. That's what makes you female and feminine.

All ovulation means is that your body is releasing an egg every month. When the egg isn't being fertilized by sperm -- which it's not going to be, if you're not having sex -- it's flushed out of your system along with some other padding. And that's your period.

It is natural, normal and healthy for all women to ovulate every month. In fact, if you're not ovulating, it can be a sign that something is wrong. It should happen whether or not you are having sex. Your body has the egg ready just in case, and knows what to do if it's not the right time.

Most women, including almost every woman you know, ovulates every month (unless they are pregnant) from age 9-14 until they are age 45-50. Everybody, whether they're having sex all the time, or whether they're nuns in a convent!

Honestly, I am not sure how you could stop it. I know that sometimes really competitive athletes don't get their periods, which might mean their bodies are under such stress that they don't ovulate.

But I wouldn't suggest trying to stop it. Ovulation is part of your normal cycle, and weird things can start to happen when you play around with it. Also, if you are young now, you may someday decide you want to have children, so don't do anything that could harm yourself for the long term.

Ovulation is the process in the menstrual cycle by which a mature ovarian follicle ruptures and discharges an ovum (also known as an oocyte, female gamete, or casually, an egg) that participates in reproduction. Its basiclly starts when you get the dreaded period (which is you bleeding out so that ur uterus cleans itself so that when an egg does get fertile it will have a healthy wall and bag of water the baby stays in for 9 months. Sorry the only way to stop it is after youve grown old and are going threw menopause.

Ovulation is part of your menstrual cycle, occurring roughly half way between your periods.

If you are having periods, you are probably ovulating, you may notice a slippery mucous discharge mid-cycle (some women have more than others) - this happens around the time of ovulation.

The main ways of stopping ovulation are either contraception (pill, implant etc) or reduction of body fat proportion. This can be done in a healthy way as seen in many top female athletes or unhealthy way as seen in an anorexic.

Ovulation is when an egg is released from the ovaries into the fallopian tube(organs in our bodies) and if the egg is fertilized by a sperm(through sex) then you become pregnant. If the egg doesn't get fertilized you get something called a period, which is when you bleed for 3-7 days. It's something out of your control and it is a natural process that all females go through once a month, whether we're virgins or not and whether we want it or not

Ovulation is just a part of how the female body works. If you already had your menstrual period, then you already went through ovulation before. It's nothing to worry about, just a natural process. If you are not having sex, you won't become pregnant.

Your body will not begin ovulation until you start having periods. The only way stop yourself from having periods is to go on a form of birth control that 'might' stop them, but if you're not having sex, then it shouldn't matter that you're ovulating or not. It's only useful when you're trying to conceive, which I wouldn't recommend until you're at least out of high school.

Er, ovulation happens once a month, every month from the day you have your period until you reach menopause. Welcome to womanhood, it's just the way it is. You're going to be ovulating whether you want children or not. And if you try to stop the ovulation, you could cause some serious health problems, risk infertility and never be able to have children.

You best bet is to simply get use to it as soon as possible, it's really not that bad.

If you've gotten your period, you've ovulated. When you ovulate, if the egg isn't fertilized (by sperm), it, along with the blood lining the uterus, is flushed from the body - that's what menstruation is. It isn't caused by sex in any way.

When you say you want to stop ovulating, do you mean you want to stop your periods? If that's the concern, you should talk to your mom about going to the doctor and getting prescribed birth control - it's common for girls not having sex to get it, just to control their periods.

Yes, ovulation has nothing to do with having sex. Well, if you're ovulating and have unprotected sex you could become pregnant. However, you will begin to ovulate right before you begin to get your period.

Once you start having your monthly period, you will automatically ovulate every month as long as your hormones are working and your cycle is regular.

The only way to stop ovulation is to go on birth control pills.
