Does boycotting a countries exports make them change their policies?

Thinking about using this as a starting point for a paper. Can any one give me ideas or examples?

Nah, they just sell to someone else who assemble the product in their country and can sell to the Boycotter at a higher price.
Example; Instead of "Made in N. Korea" it will say "Made in Taiwan".

It's very unlikely that a country should change their policies due to boycotts. But see first on what kinds of exports you'd like to focus on. And check out the smaller countries that export and you may be able to find a starting point for your paper.
