Hard to get off-the-rack personalized item, and it will be mispronounced.

"A-JAH?"

Name's not so bad, it's a neat way to spell it. But, I wouldn't even consider having a baby with some guy (or girl) I've been dating for two months! You really should be having fun in your relationship right now at this point rather than discussing such heavy subjects as children. Two months is nowhere near long enough to decide if you two are compatable enough to raise a child together. I hate to sound so negative and I hope you have a relationship that's forever if that's what you want but date a while longer, get married first and then raise a family. Best of luck to you both!

put yourself in her place. would YOU really like having the name Aja. come on... everyone would mis-pronounce it and mis-spell it and that would ALWAYS be annoying. and when teachers call role they will always stumble on that name. honestly, if my parents had named me Aja just because my grandfather liked an album that my friends and i had never heard of... i would be really pissed at them. u know what i mean? i guess, if Shawn AND YOU are REALLY passionate about the name Aja... go for it. but you could really save your daughter the trouble of being teased if u gave her an easier name. im not saying that unique names are bad, i think they're great. but it would be better for your daughter if u gave her a name that is more... normal or at least easier to pronounce. like... my neighbors just had a beautiful baby girl and they named her something very dificult to pronounce. but it means jasmine. both of the parents LOVE that flower and they grew one together before they got married, or something like that and it is just a very significant symbol of their love. so that is what they wanted to name their daughter. but i think they could have named her jasmine instead of something that no one can pronounce. do you see where i am coming from? well... i hope i could help.

The name is alright! I've said it six times fast, and it has a nice ring to it. Now, it's Shawn that I have issues with. How are you to know whether you'll be having a girl? Suppose you get pregnant and it's a boy? Will that mean Shawn might be going home, and taking his Steely Dan Cd's with him? You're not playing house here, this is real life. Please, take more time with this relationship before you jump from the frying pan into that skillet...

Do you really like this guy? If you don't name your daughter Aja, then would he break up with you? And what if you don't get a daughter? First make sure that he's ready for commitment. If you don't like the name, then ask him if you can make it her middle name.

I think it's a lousy name for a person. People would have trouble pronouncing it. "Asia" as a name sounds very downmarket.

What about Ayala, which is Hebrew and has Aya as a cute nickname, or Asha, which is Sanskrit?

Either way, you've only been dating for a couple of months so this is way in the future.

No I really don't like the name, but why are you talking about having a baby when you have been dating for only 2 months wait a little longer

It is unusual, and people will always mispronounce it. Ahh jaah? Ayyyjaaah? What is your name? If you decide on Asia, then spell it Asia.
One of the worst names I have ever seen for a girl is where a woman in my town tried to name her daughter Cheyenne, but spelled it Shy-Ann. How ignorant sounding can you be?

You shouldn't even think about naming a baby. You only date for 2 months. Remember, you'll responsible for that baby at least for the next 18 years.

I think you are foolish to agree to have a baby with someone you have known for only two months, and in regards to the name Aja, I think the fact that he likes that name is indicative of his intelligence.
