Chidos is a really amazing band, there new cd comes out on Tuesday at all Hot Topic stores i think. There's also Saosin, Hawthorne Heights, Cute is What we Aim for, Envy on the Coast, Flyleaf, Forgive Durden, Mayday Parade, Panic! At the Disco, Paramore, Taking Back Sunday, The Academy Is..., The Starting Line, Boys Like Girls, Thursday, and Yellowcard. Not all of these bands are self-proclaimed emo, but there all along the lines of emo music.

Get up Kids (On a wire is quite good), Death Cab for Cutie isn't really emo but lots of emo people like them (because they are AMAZING), Yellowcard, Plain White Tees, Mae, Nada Surf, Phish (Billy Breathes is an amazing album), The Shins, Taking back Sunday.
Alot of these bands aren't classified as emo but they are very good music and the lyrics are emo enough. The sounds vary. If you dont like any of these try going on amazon.com and looking at a band you really like, then at other bands people who liked that same band also enjoy.... if that made any sense at all. Above are all bands I have on my Ipod that I think are pretty good (except taking back sunday, I just know they are emo.) Check them out on amazon as well, since amazon always has clips from every song on the artist's CD so you can see if you like it.

im nota fana emo bandz but im like upseszed with three days grace, kill hannah, rise against, the sick puppies, silversun pickups, the almost, modest mouse, the used, the bravery, the starting line, the kaiser chiefs, linkin park, new found glory, finger 11, the plain white ts, breaking benjamin, incubus, ninch inch nails, 3 doors down, muse, 30 seconds to mars, afi, good charlotte, the arctic monkeys, smashing pumpkins, switchfoot, the killers, blink 182, pennywise, eve 6, story of the year, goldfinger, hawthorne hieghts, the akline trio, him, chatch 22, angles and airwaves, lustra, staind, and the ataris. u no my cuzin was supposed to open for the ataris on the 4 of july but he fractured his skull like two days before and couldnt go.
