I absolutely love Sam Cooke's songs - every single one including his gospel music. Sam Cooke is amazing and his lyrics can live on through generations.

I don't like it. I LOVE Sam Cooke's music. I love "A Change Is Gonna Come" Twisting the Night Away, You Send Me. What talent.

I think you have said it best. He is an awesome composer and was really able to take the pulse of music at the time of all of his hits. I think history will see him as the King of Soul. His standards are being revisited more and more by singers. When I slow dance to You Send Me, it makes me feel innocent and happy, like a 50's girl!! Best of luck to you!

His voice is just awesome. If you like old christian gospel music, check out his recordings with The Soul Stirrers from before he went mainstream. They are simply amazing.
