Fashionistas only! What do I wear?

Question

I have a job interview on at a boutique in New York. I may or may not wear this dress: http://www.target.com/gp/detail.html/sr=/qid=/ref=br_1_1/601-8631400-9820908?ie=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000R15MBY

Now, in the event that I do wear this dress, I need to know which shoes do I wear? Open toe black patent leather heels OR cream slouchy boots. I know that the former definitely works but I would prefer to wear the latter. They are much more comfortable but I'm worried about being too soon on the boots (though I have seen people in New York wearing boots last week).

it kinda depends where the boutique is, cause if your gonna work in soho i think you should look somewhere other then target and spend a little more money, but it is kinda cute and i would say you should where the heels.

If you do go with the dress I'd go with the boots. The dress is kinda a grandma dress and the boots would negate that effect some.
I'd go either with something really basic and wear cute shoes/basic but cute accessories.

I personally dislike the dress strongly.

you should get some of those oxford shoes that all the models in vogue are wearing
