Why do you people think Iran isn't a threat to the US or isn't developing nuclear weapons. And don't blame Bush or Iraq, please. That has nothing to do with it. Anyway just wondering what people think. Thanks.

So S.S. when they flaunt they are developing nuclear weapons and hate the west that doesn't make them a threat, okay.

I totally believe Iran is a threat. I think it has been since the hostage crisis of Carter era.
If they develop Nukes, I think they are of the mind to use them. This would destroy all mankind. They don't seem to care. Because they are so radical as to NOT care, and they have issued threats, which I believe. They should not be ignored. I am surprised our government hasn't done more. Probably because of all the anti war people, that haven't a clue. They want everybody to hug and kiss and live in la la land.

Iran is a developing country on theopposite side of the world. Only an idiot or a republican wuss would be afraid of them. The US is a much, much bigger threat to Iran than vice versa. Iran knows that if they had nuclear weapons, like Pakistan, the US would be much less likely to invade and destroy their country the way they destroyed Iraq. If I was the leader of Iran, I would want nukes too.

We seem to have had a war nobody noticed. It hasn't been that long ago that they tried to shut down oil shipments through the Gulf, and it took the US Navy to keep the sea lanes open. I think most Americans have at most a vague memory of the mistake made when the airliner was shot down but otherwise don't remember the incident at all. Adding political turmoil mixed with religious fervor and nuclear weapons is a scary thought.

Iran is no more of a threat than Iraq is or ever was. Theres no need to war with them about anything...same with Iraq. If you want to worry, worry about North Korea. They are a threat to themselves and everyone around them. But no need for war when a solution can be reached through peace conferences.

They're a threat on the horizon, but not an immediate, serious threat, but they can work to either make the Middle East more stable or to make it less stable depending on their relations with the West, which aren't that good right now.

The present regime in the Iranian government is more vile and disgusting than any that preceded it.
Extremists like this government are always a threat.

Iran's support of terrorist groups and their continued enriching of uranium make them a credible threat to peace in the middle east.

Iran and N.Korea are like village idiots trying to pose as big city brothers and haven't in them to handle nuclear weapon systems. Thus in their foolhardiness are making themselves more risk prone as well as to risky for others.

Iran is only a threat if you bother them. If you attack Iran, we'll attack you.
