Oddly.. a dog.
I say oddly because I'm not much of a dog person. Had one as a kid, but find them way too much work.... so perhaps I like the idea of a dog who is imaginary and has no shedding, walking, vet bills, but still be a protector.
Wow, Freud would have a field day with me...

I would want an imaginary friend like Fred from Drop Dead Fred. I wouldn't mind having him around all the time.

First of all it wouldn't be a person, too many of those around as it is.
The rabbit idea appeals to me but his name is Joshua.

When I was 4, I had a friend that was an ostrich named Stella who lived in our garage. She ate a handful of cereal each day.

Actually...he was 7 feet tall...and he wasn't imaginary...he was a Pooka.
I'd have a panda. Because It'd be funny to tell people about my little panda friend.
