I'm an Orlando teen, and the traffic is always bumper to bumper 10 miles per hour and road construction and terrible drivers and its a headache.

20years ago, cities weren't running out of space and the infrastructure didn't have to be so flexible.

When I was younger, I didn't drive, and I was too short to see any traffic. But I do recall that there was never any parking available in my neighbourhood except when everyone was at work. Now, when I drive through the old neighbourhood, there is never any parking, day or night. So, I have to agree with you, traffic is out of control at times. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to drive 12 miles, should it?

I am 37 years old... Maybe it's twisted, distorted memory, but doesn't seem the world was so busy before. The song 'Everyone's Free to Wear Sunscreen' kinda makes a point. When you get older, you remember nostalgically, youth in a way that isn't necessarily fact.

Here are some facts though... We didn't have the technology we do now, and while a blessing in some ways... Instant access to information on literally anything... Connection to the entire world... Things HAVE changed. The world is 24/7 now. Everyone needs access to everything at all times. The world IS busier. Reality is exponential population growth dictates things are more cramped. Things ARE busier.

All you can do is be Zen... Be in the moment. Accept now is now, past is past, and the future is inevitable.

I grew up in a rural community in the 60s.
The county seat had a two lane highway running through it and it was not busy.
Now that highway is a 4 lane and is very busy.
The population is constantly increasing and the people just keep piling up.
My parents had 2 kids and those two had 7 and now there are 3 more.
Yes, there is more congestion and traffic everywhere.
I was in Orlando in 1973 but I don't remember the traffic, only Disney World.
