Are you sure it was a cheese grater? There is a thing that looks like one but it's for removing calluses on your feet.

she was eating cheese in her bathroom and had to use the grater. Then she left the grater in her bathroom.

ive heard of people "cutting the cheese" in their bathrooms, maybe your friend likes to grate her cheese in the bathroom instead..
