I think it completely depends on what fruit/vegetable you were compared too.

More like my body parts were compared to fruits and yes, it was meant complimentary.

ha my ex once said this to me "loving you is like loving a piece of ******* fruit." and it was not in a nice way. he has a thing for fruits. when he gets drunk he throws mango's at his friends. its so funny
