Of course I've heard of ectoplasm or whatever it's called, but is there any truth or physical evidence of it's existence? I have heard that ectoplasm refers to the outer lining of a cell, but that was on Bones, and while Bones has a tendancy to be truthful in many aspects, I just wanted to make sure.

A note to all that posted that don't think ghosts exist: Get a life and stop wasting the little bit you have on the paranormal phenomena forums trying to get your unappreciated point across. Try the close-minded conformist forums. And if it dosen't exist make one, I'm sure you'll have a lot of members.

From Wikipedia: "Ectoplasm generally refers to the outer part of a cell's cytoplasm... Cytoplasm is a gelatinous, semi-transparent fluid that 'fills' most cells."

I'm kind of skepitcal about ectoplasm and ghosts. I think ghosts would just be made up of pure energy. Any physical form they had, they lost it when their body died.

Unfortunately there is no hardcore proof out there when it comes to ghosts.

Ectoplasm is a term coined by fakers and charlatans to describe images in photos. Most of these are composite negative or double exposures prints. What ghost are made of is the great question that everyone is trying to solve. Personally I don't think the instrumentation has been invented to measure it yet. Why do some people see them and some don't, why do several people see the same thing at the same time? Why do they show up in some pictures and not in all photos. Some day we will have the answers.

In strong daylight when your in a still room close all the curtains and be very still ,,,not a breath you should take..in the steam of light that slips between the darkened curtains and bleeds across the floor are small bits of ghost remains they streak by and if you try to catch one they slip back into the darkness of the shadow and can never be seen again..but wait...another will take its place.....soon stillness will fall across the room and the ghosts will dance in the light for you again.... :{) and besides ectoplasm is just fabreeze air freshener....?????

Nobody actually knows what ghosts are really made of. Pure energy, perhaps? Ectoplasm is something solid, and to my knowledge and experience so far, ghosts are not solid. They're made out of the same mysterious stuff as our souls(not talking about brain function). Ghosts were people too, you know.

Ghost are made up of mass hysteria and paranoia. Something strange happens, they can't explain it, so they blame it on the paranormal. It's common human behavior.

ghosts are made of seven letters g, h, o, s, t, s. All are imaginary. If any reality, inform me. All ghosts relate to 'past' only. Nothing present, all imagination for weaklings.

Ghosts are made of fantasy and imagination. That's where they were born, that's where they've lived and that's where they will always live.
