No one follows that rule nowadays, but white usually makes things feel more summery. It would be difficult to wear a floaty white lace dress in the middle of winter, but if you wear something with the heavy structured feel that's typical of winter clothes, white will seem nice and frosty, especially if you pair it with something black. For example, a big white wool coat with opaque black hose and black leather booties would look very wintery.

Yes, I plan on wearing my white, until Summer is officially over, than some. As long, as the weather permits. Only 'Serial Mom' cares, if you wear white after Labor Day. LOL
Have a good Labor Day.

Yes, it's not as though the fashion police are going to come throw you in jail.
Never let others dictate what you wear and when you wear it- there is no practical reason to not wear white just because labor day is gone.

of course you can! it's a silly old rule that you can't. hardly anyone bothers with that rule anymore.
i would say that if you're going somewhere and trying to impress someone who is of an older generation than yours, you could avoid wearing white, just ot be on the safe side.
i think it's a silly rule, so you'll be fine casually.. but when in doubt, avoid it. :)

Yes, that's an old tradition. Wear what you want, I don't think much people follow that.
