I have looked every where and have not found another like it, it is about 13 inches long and weighs about 19 to 20 pounds.

There are no markings on it, I am curious to what is was used for and who it was made by.

It is shaped like a Plumb Bob, it comes to a point and it is designed to accept piano wire.

I guess the real question I have is what do you want to know about it? And are you sure it is a plumb bob? Is there any marking or name on it? That would help us to answer the question more effectively.

I don't think it's a plumb bob,it's probably a balance weight.If it is in the shape of an animal or something like that it could be worth quite a bit

Are you shure it,s a plumb bob ? i have somthing shaped like a plumb bob weighs areound 20 to 30 lbs, i use it for a boat anchor, came off a well drilling rig,
sounds like your,s is a old window weight, if its round like a log, and has a hole in one end.[to tye a cord on]
