My wife and I have 3 young children....all 3yrs or younger. I go to work everyday and my wife stays at home with the kids and REALLY works. When i get home in the early evening its a madhouse....lol.... but I help out with bath and always put the kids to bed so she does not have to. Recently we have hired a babysitter to come during the days...so if she needed to run out....she can.....without having to pack the kids in the van and go...

Bottom line is........ I want to do something special for her. She needs to get away....and we plan to go somewhere (just the two of us...in a few months) but I want her to get time alone.

Any ideas on what I can do.... or where I could send her for a few days? Perhaps a spa....or a conference?

Thanks...

if it was me you could get me a room in a very nice motel with room service for the weekend and i would feel like i was in heaven.she could lay around with nothing on if she wanted to and just watch tv or soak in a bubble bath or whatever.its amazing what this can do for a body that never gets to unwind and just do nothing.also you could have flowers waiting in the room with some good wine or whatever she drinks with a little note telling her how much you love her.you might just get an invite to her room(winks).,then you both can unwind together.if the rooms got a jacuzzi or hottub thats even better.its great to know there are still men like you around.

Oh I love Estes Park, Colorado. I went for the first time 3 yrs ago and I so badly want to go again. What a lucky girl she is to get to go!! But for now if you want her to get some alone time, get her a day at a spa. A facial, massage, sometime to just sit and think would be nice. I'm a stay at home mom as well so I know how she feels. I would be happy to just go get my hair cut, my nails done, and my toes done. Just to be out of the house for a few hours alone. Maybe give her a day out with a girlfriend of her's or her sister (if she has one). Let them both go get their nails and feet done together and have lunch out and go shopping. I know I would love that! I hope this helps! Good luck!! Have fun in Estes Park, its beautiful up there!!!!

Boy I wish that you had said where you are from.... that would help. Do you have any B&B's close by? Does she have a sister ot a mother that she is close with or a best friend? A spa is a great idea!! Send her somewhere by the beach if you can. For that matter send her to the hotel up the street!!! Make sure that it has a hot tub in the room, and buy her a good book!! I sure wish my hubby was this thoughtful!!

WOW! A man that understands how hard a stay at home mom has to work! How sweet! I think that the two of you deserve to go where ever you want. I don't know where you live or how far you want to go, but I think that a nice romantic time would be for you to rent a cabin. Make it somewhere close to a town so that you can go out for dinner. Good luck and I hope that you get your free time together!!

wouldn't know where you could take her...just wanted to tell you that I'm glad that there are still guys out there who admit that being a stay-at-home mom is not a walk in the park...its hard to take care of the kids and maintain a household at the same time...that's a great idea to take her away for a day or two...im sure she will be really touched and she would love you more than ever! Great job!

You'd be surprised what a weekend in a hotel can do. Even if it is one that is not too far from your house. Since you are saving to get away together in a few months, I bet a weekend alone, to shop a little,or get herself a new hairstyle, dinner out, something like that would be great. You still want to save for the time together. One more thing, could you be any nicer?

If you are going to take her away for a weekend then maybe she would enjoy a shopping trip to buy something new for the trip. Every woman loves to shop so let her have at it for a day. Get one of her best friends and plan it all out and then you and her friend can surprise her with it....make it a whole day of fun.....shopping, lunch, more shopping, get a new hair style, get nails and toes done. She will love it!!!!! If you want more than one day then send her and her friend out of town to do the shopping. Let them spend the night in a motel and just make a weekend trip out of it.......Every woman should have a man like you. Only a special man would do things like this for his wife. Your love for her shines through.

AWW your a great husband i can tell. Buy her a spa package with a facial, pedicure let her get her hair done. Do it on a saturday or when you can hang out with the kids. Thats what I would love. And then you could have the baby sitter come over and you can take her out after her day of pampering.

It is admirable that you want to do this good deed for your wife.It shows you as a caring, loving.sensitive man who clearly loves his wife and family. You can use one or more of the following ideas:1)send your wife on a cruise--7,14,or more days.2)you can send her to a salon to be spoilt with ,,manicure, pedicure, facials,do her hair. After the completion of everything ,then take her out for a romantic dinner preferable in one those floating restaurants.Don't forget the flowers and card(with a great sentiment).More importantly, leave the kids at home with a trusted babysitter.so you can relax and enjoy the occassion.I wish you the best of luck.
