Crazy is a very negative term that stigmatizes people who have a mental condition. When you are not just saying something like crazy days, or spending $200 on a purse is crazy, that type of thing, it is very abusive. Like calling a person with low IQ a retard, I'd say. Really bad! Avoid it. Usually it is referring to a person who has very severe mental illness. But, you know, I have severe mental illness and I sure don't like it.

Disturbed usually means a person has a mental condition of some kind. It's pretty general, and would refer to someone who has issues from the past rather than a genetic mental illness, I would say. Not always, it is a very general term.

No, crazy is a word that has various meanings when used with a person. Distrubed is more has more of a direct meaning. Crazy could be someone skydiving, it usually has to do with an action. Disturbed is usually someone who has some sort of delusional visions or thoughts inside their mind.

Not in my opinion, but then, neither of those are technical psychological or psychiatric terms, or are diagnostic. Crazy is basically slang for insane, but even insane is not a psychiatric diagnosis, rather, it is a legal term meaning unable to distinguish between right and wrong. As for "disturbed" well, I would consider that to be anyone with any mental illness whatsoever that expresses itself as a behavior change or change in thought patterns.

i wouldnt say that necessarily. someone whose insane doesnt have to be exactly disturbed and someone whose disturbed doesnt exactly have to be insane.

i just think of it like someone whose insane is diagnosed as mentally crazy like they're not fully themselves or cant think normally to function. i'd say someone whose disturbed can be like someone who has weird thoughts like stabbing rabbits or something that most normal people just dont think about or do.

but of course, both can be integrated sometimes if not a lot of times.
