Where did you ride it from, and where were you going?

I rode a caretela sometime 5 years ago. But it was a fun decision: My gf and I had lunch in Ongpin and then we decided to go to Luneta. Instaed of taking the jeepneys, we hired a caretela to bring us to Luneta. It was both romantic and weird. Imagine traversing the major streets, including Jones bridge, alongside all of those cars, taxis, and jeepneys.

Yes, we call these tartanillas in Cebu. But never rode one here.

Last June 2006 in Petra, Jordan. We were very tired to walk back from the Indiana Jones site to the main gate and my Brasilian lady friend had a swollen foot so we decided to hire a carretela...

Never tried in Manila yet...

I don't think I ever did in Metro Manila. But I did in NYC 5 yrs ago --- around Central Park.

About 12 years ago. When I worked with one of our branches in Elcano. (somewhere near Divisoria). I rode it going to Ongpin to have some special panict. (noodles)

the last time i was in ongpin, chinatown. just wanted to experience riding it. in cebu, we call it as 'tartanilla.'
