So which card should I go with, it's down to two and I purchase one of em tomorrow:

The factory overclocked version of XFX is faster. However if you know how to overclock a graphics card, you can get the cheaper one and just overclock it to XFX level or a bit more. 8600GT actually has plenty of overclocking headroom.

The XFX version is factory overclocked, so it should run a little faster. I would prefer the XFX brand over MSI for the warrenty and reputation. And after rebate, it is pretty much a no brainer.
