Most of the time I think that is true. My son treats me with love and respect . From what I see and hear from others he treats all women with respect.

I wouldn't so much worry that it's his mother he treats poorly, as I'd worry about the fact he'd treat anyone with such open hostility and disrespect. At the very least, consider that he's probably on his best behavior with you, so what does that say about how he treats his mother when you're not around? Adults usually can contain their disdain for other people. They can be civil and respectful. If they truly can't tolerate someone, then they usually just stay away, rather than being verbally abusive to them. So for me, seeing a BF so nasty and rude would be a huge HUGE turn off for me. And yeah, I guess I'd be willing to make the assumption that he'd have no problem treating you that way if you displeased him in some fashion.

Like anything else, it will differ with each guy. Some treat their girlfriends a lot better than their mothers and some treat them a lot worse.

yes and no
i think it has more to do with how they were raised, how there parents treated each other, and what a mother teaches there son about women and relation ships
if she teaches him to respect women than he will respect both his mother and his girlfriend
the same if she lets him disrespect women he might treat his mother good but not his girl

I see it in the way my 2 sons treat their girlfriends. I raised 2 well mannered boys and I'm very proud of them.

No, I think men treat their wives the way they treat their mothers.

No, the opposite.Usually, the mothers receive all the respect, and the girls no...To tell you the truth, behind an aggressive man, there is always an oppressing mother...

Yeah, pretty much. If a man is disrespectful to his own mother, you can bet he isn't going to be a good boyfriend. *unless you like to be treated like dirt*

It plays a huge part. It also depends on how parents treat each other in front of their children.

not really, I don't talk to my mother...she's not worth the time. My wife I treat with as much respect as I can...she is definitely worth it.
