Person was suspended for not having insurance in Wa. state. no dui. Should they have legal counsel?

Yes they sould have legal counsel. This type of suspension is refered to FRA suspension, meaning financial responsiblity. They are going to have a stiffer fine, longer suspension, vehicle clubbed (probably) and maybe jail time. Also, they will be on probation as well. tell them to seek legal counsel ASAP!

Since his license was suspended, I don't suppose he reinstated his insurance. If not, the judge will probably not cut him any slack. He needs an attorney.

yes, a lawyer would be a big help. It would also be easy cash for the lawyer.
