If you count betrayal from a best friend, then yes, I did learn something valuable =)
I also learned that I'm more of a person who wants to sit in the corner and go home, then a person who wants to be the center of attention.

Girl Scouts was a bad vibe, just glad it was the third grade and not the eighth!

actually yes i was taken to a place to learn about fine dining. I still can remember what fork or spoon to use first and how to signal to the waiter your done eating by using your utensils.

I also learned how NOT to be a girl scout. I sold people boxes of cookies and forgot to write down their addresses. When the cookies came in I didn't know who to give them to. So we were stuck with like 20 boxes at my house. The next year when I went cookie selling I ran into some people who said.. "last year we gave some girl scout money for cookies and we never got the cookies" WOOPS.

Yes. Many of the skills in the merit badges I studied in Scouts relate to many of the jobs I've held in the past and currently. Knowing how to tie knots has helped me many times. Planning skills I learned when going camping helps me be more organized and think of all the things I'll need for a specific task.

First merit badge I earned was Home Repairs. Use those skills daily.

Now, ask what people learned of use in little league sports...
